The Nightfall Society
Setting Details
Camarilla & Sabbat Venues
We are utilising the setting as defined in MET Vampire the Masquerade Volume 2, with the following clarifications:
Camarilla Clans
Whilst the majority of the Brujah and Gangrel now form the bulk of the newly empowered Anarch movement, the Gangrel’s departure was much less violent and as such there are still a number of them in the sect. The Brujah are now much less commonplace however and are now an Uncommon Clan.
The Justicariat
The regional assignment of the five Justicars is publicly known to be as follows:
Clan | Justicar | Primary Region |
Malkavian | Juliet Parr | South America |
Nosferatu | Molly MacDonald | Asia & Australasia |
Toreador | Diana Iadanza | Africa & the Middle East |
Tremere | Ian Carfax | Europe |
Banu Haqim | Tegyrius | North America |
Anarchs
As the Anarchs are now in active aggression to the Camarilla, they are no longer playable characters within the Camarilla venue.
Independent clans
Members of the Clans of Death, Followers of Set, Ravnos, and Carpathian Tzimisce, are available to play as local Independents in the Camarilla. If you wish to play these, please remember that you will not be an acknowledged member of the Court but will be expected by the court to provide your assistance to the domain as any other resident, or risk violent expulsion and a stain on your clan’s name.
It should be remembered that the Camarilla operates largely on the old rules of hospitality, and that as much as a guest has the right to the protection of the host, they are also expected to contribute to the host’s defence.
Lasombra and Tzimisce in the Camarilla
The Sabbat were hit most heavily by the rise in Hunter activity over recent years and many fled to the other sects. The Lasombra already had a small population in the Camarilla, and they have been joined by previously Sabbat-loyal members of both traditionally Sabbat clans in small numbers.
The Lasombra agreement is of particular note. In 2019 the clan were officially acknowledged as members of the Camarilla, albeit as a non-pillar clan, but at a steep price of the ritual sacrifice of a non-Camarilla Lasombra for every Lasombra embraced or brought into the Camarilla.
The Clans of Death in the Sabbat
With the death of Augustus Giovanni and the consolidation of the Clans of Death as an independent faction, most of the Sabbat necromancers disappeared almost overnight. Some still remain, mostly out of loyalty to their packs, but they are much rarer than they once were.
Sabbat Thaumaturges
The formation of House Goratrix and House Carna as part of the Tremere schism has weakened the Sabbat, giving may of the Tremere antitribue alternative options. Their reduced numbers have let the Koldun once again take their rightful place as the primary blood mages of the sect, and they have spread through the Old World much more than they did whilst the Tremere were more prominent in the Sabbat’s ranks.
